When browsing our web site, no personal information is collected, however; cookies track various anomalised information. This information does not specifically personally identify the individual using the site, rather the machine that is used. See Web Site Cookies below
If you subscribe to our News Letter we only retain your name and email address in order to send the newsletter in a more personalised manner. You can cancel this subscription at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter – upon receiving an un-subscribe notice we delete the individuals name and email information and send a confirmation of cancellation. You can also subscribe to our newsletter when you visit our box office directly and complete our newsletter form.
If you purchase via tickets via our website we collect IP information, name, address, telephone number(s), email address and transaction details. Credit card information is handled via our payment processor (PayPal). Card details are not stored in our web database.
Direct bookings via the theatre box office will require name, contact details and credit card information. Once the transaction has been completed only your name and contact information is electronically retained.
How We Use Your Data
Information is retained in order to provide our customers, friends and patrons with a complete information service including details of up-coming events including plays, film screenings, musical evenings and exhibitions. Your data is NOT passed to any third-party organisation. Information also used to resolve booking issues such as cancellations, confirmations and alterations.
We will keep your personal information for as long as you are a theatre customer, friend or patron. Inactive customer information is periodically deleted or can be deleted upon request – see Your data Rights below

The Carnegie Theatre respects your rights and if you wish to view/review/change or delete this data please contact us in writing. Data requests may require proof of identity to protect the individual’s data from fraudulent access.
The Carnegie Theatre has electronic firewall, anti-virus and malware protection systems to protect your information as well as web access monitoring and suspicious activity detection systems. Internally access to information is limited to authorised personnel
These are small files that are used to track options and record information that makes the browsing experience more intuitive.
