TIM O’SHEA (Killarney Ireland) Guitar, Vocal, Bodhrán and hand percussion. Tim has been working solo and in several bands since the late 1980’s and is the veteran of the Folk Music scene home and abroad.
SAMUEL KIWANUKA (Tralee & Uganda) has a passion for drumming and singing dating back to his childhood. Since his arrival in Ireland, he has been actively involved in various choirs and drumming groups. Namely “Different Skins” and “Drum Dance Ireland” and now “Afro Trad Ireland” and “Spraoi Chiarraí”.
ROSIE HEALY Killarney (Ireland) Irish Wooden Flute, Whistles & Vocals.
Now a regular member, Rosie brings her musical education as a professional music teacher, experience and talent to Afro Trad Ireland. Adding Irish melodies and great backing vocals & humour, it is a vital addition to the music of Tim & Sam
Finding a ‘common ground’ between Irish Drum and Vocal & African Drum and vocal. The result is Afro Trad Ireland. The aim is to unite & fuse theses both ancient traditions & create enjoyable music for everyone.
