The Inkwell Theatre Group , Minane Bridge, Cork.
The Inkwell Theatre and drama group was formed in 2014 when the old Knocknamanagh School which dates back to 1900 was rescued from demolition and transformed into a state of the art theatre and Arts centre in middle of a very rural community. The group was set up to foster drama in the community and contribute to the development of the centre.
This is our 6th year in producing drama at the centre. Last year with director Philip O Byrne we produced a 6 night sell out of “Anyone could Rob a Bank” followed in the Autumn by three one act lays. In March of 2109 We performed the All Ireland winning comedy “Cash on Delivery” again to a 6 night sell out audience. This was the most demanding play to direct and technically challenging requiring extending the stage to facilitate much of the movement. We are really looking forward to bring this play to Kenmare. It is another step in our development and we are excited to perform in front of a very different audience.
