Kenmare artist Matthew Sexton, is having an art exhibition in The Carnegie Arts Centre in Kenmare. Matthew is 30 years old and attends Castlehyde Day Service, which is run by the Brothers of Charity in Fermoy, Co. Cork. Matthew has autism and has shown a keen interest in art since he was young. Matthew’s artistic talents have been encouraged by the Brothers of Charity services, initially at Scoil Triest Special School and afterwards at the Caritas Training Centre and at The Castlehyde Day centre where his art teacher Lindsey Hope has really encouraged him.
This is Matthew’s third solo exhibition and he has also exhibited in group exhibitions in UCC, Cork Institute of Technology, and Fermoy Library.
The exhibition will be officially launched on Thursday 5th April at 7.00pm and runs until the end of April. All welcome
