'An Irish Heart'- The Show

'An Irish Heart' is the brainchild of Grace Foley who is a singer with a rich background in performance. She began her studies at age 14 with the late Aine Nic Ghabhann and went on to study with James Nelson of The Celtic Tenors and at the Royal Irish Academy of Music with Virginia Kerr. Grace has performed in venues all over Ireland, on both local and national radio and on RTE Television. The Killarney native released her debut album, 'Home To Kerry' in December 2016 which features songs that are all related to her beloved home county of Kerry. Grace also teaches singing privately and at the Killarney School of Music

Grace is joined by three wonderful musicians; Lucy Tanner on violin, Jayme Linehan on piano and Conor Linehan on guitar.

Lucy has performed with the Boston Sinfonia, Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, The Ensemble of Siamsa Tire, Home to the National Folk Theatre and the Finlay Ensemble. Lucy is currently the leader of the Kerry Chamber Orchestra and is a member of the wonderful Scotia Ensemble.
Jayme Linehan is a pianist from Millstreet Co. Cork. She is a primary school teacher and studied music with her degree. Jayme has been teaching piano in the Killarney School of Music since it opened in 2010. She began playing the piano at the age of eight and quickly completed her classical training with the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Jayme's roots are deeply cemented in Irish traditional music and she plays many different instruments. She has performed with numerous Irish song and dance shows and has competed in many Fleadhanna Cheoil. Jayme comes from a very talented family and is joined on stage by her brother Conor.
Conor Linehan studied music, media and performance technology at the University of Limerick. Conor is a self-taught guitarist who comes from a long line of Cork musicians and has successfully competed in several All-Ireland Fleadhs as well as being a member of the Irish Youth choir

We are now delighted to welcome too young, extremely talented, dancers to the 'An Irish Heart' team. Scott O Meara and Ciaran Quigley of the Hegarty Irish Dance Academy will be alternating between the different concerts and will add another exciting element to the concert.

What 'An Irish Heart' is....
'An Irish Heart' allows the audience to experience the 'real Ireland'. This show stands out from the others as it fuses different genres, styles and disciplines to take the audience on a truly unique journey. We want our audiences to leave feeling that they have not only gotten to know Ireland better but that they also know the artists on stage.
Grace says; "I believe that music connects people and we want to feel that connection at every show. Irish music has always been special and it continues to create magic with every new artist that emerges and every new piece of music that is written. We are a small, diverse team with years of training and performing experiences under our belts. We fuse classical, traditional and contemporary styles to make this a very interesting, unique and captivating show from the first note to the last...
In the show Grace performs some of Ireland's most loved ballads and then brings us up to date with songs by artists such as Damien Rice, Snow Patrol and U2.
